Austin Seven clutch woes

Initially the day began with a random misfire, thanks to an errant horn sitting on a spark plug.

That being sorted, the clutch pedal failed to disengage the clutch.

The following picture shows how little movement there was available at the pedal.

a7

Possible this had fallen out of something and was acting as packing.

a7

Also the release toggles were a mismatched set and did not belong to this year of car. The pins are worn.

a7

The release bearing cage had wear. First picture will be fixed with a ring insert, and the second has been fixed with a SIP welder and phosphor bronze.
