Owner Oswald Pendarvis Paynter, Known as Ozzie to some and Pen to others. Captions are from the back of the photographs. The smaller girl is my late wife Nicola, and the other girl is her elder sister Julia.

Too close to the road, given two years to stop selling petrol to cars standing on the highway. The garage after it had been restored, one new pump.

The asbestos sheet I put up with borrowed cash from Officers Benevolent Fund

Flood, garage in far distance on other side of the road.
